Carol Slutzky-Tenerowicz

Realize it or not, we all need something to define who we are. Something that justifies our being; a driving force that sets us on a path and guides our way.  For me it is the desire to be an artist. A goal that has remained constant for the majority of my life.  It is this motivation that pushes me, always striving to be better at what I do, setting new goals, and reaching ever higher.

Artist’s Background:

Carol Slutzky-Tenerowicz, a life long resident of the Hunter area, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and printmaking from Colorado State University.  She also attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts to continue her study of printmaking.   She is an active member of the Woodstock School of Art's Graphic Workshop, and continues to study painting and drawing with master teachers here and abroad whenever possible.   Working mostly plein-air in the genre of landscape, her paintings and prints focus mainly on views of the local mountaintop area and Italian landscapes.  She has exhibited in many shows and competitions and has been the recipient of numerous awards.
